  1. DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE

  3. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
  4. before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
  5. using it, you are expected to register.

  7. Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and commercial software,
  8. and the copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific
  9. exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors are accomplished
  10. programmers, just like commercial authors, and the programs are
  11. of comparable quality. (In both cases, there are good programs
  12. and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of
  13. distribution.

  15. Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You
  16. should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook,
  17. whether it's commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes
  18. fitting your needs easier, because you can try before you buy.
  19. And because the overhead is low, prices are low also. Shareware
  20. has the ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the
  21. product, you don't pay for it.

  44. copies of ZipWhacker for Windows within 30 days of first use or their license
